Ghost Crawler, love him or hate him, he’s the cranky crab that faces everyone on the forums. Have you been to the official forums? If not, be prepared, its a dark, dangerous and scary place. You may also want some rubber boots for trudging through the sewer that is the player complaints and tears. Seriously its crazy.
I tend to stay away from there. I used to actually be a regular poster over on the Customer Support forums, which is sort of misleadingly named. I quit posting, because I found that people who post tend to fall into two categories. Sane and Insane. I wanted to retain my sanity, so I stepped away.
But yet, Greg Street (Ghost Crawler) doesn’t have this option. Well, to be fair, he likely does have the option to walk away and let a represenative handle it for him, but he doesn’t. He wades through the insanity to find the good posts and respond to them. We all know and remember “Ghostcrawler promised me a Pony! (Moose)”. He also apparently hates all the classes in the game or loves all the other classes in the game, depending on which class is being represented by the poster.

Yet, for the most part, he maintains a pretty good sense of humor about everything. So, seriously guys, give the man his Gin. And for all the sane posters out there, thanks for giving good representation of the player-base. I couldn’t last without wanting to stab people with forks anymore.
Recently over on WoW Insider, Dawn Moore wrote What do you want in a city? She was looking for answers in the comments, but, I wanted longer to think on this. What would be my perfect city? Well it really depends on which character I’m on!
On my “little” druid that I’m leveling (at the time of writing she’s around level 40), I’m able to spend 90 percent of my city time in the Dwarven District of Stormwind. Unless I want a haircut or to train my herbalism. In which case I have to run all the way to the other side of Stormwind…and Stormwind is like Mall of America sized! Since it is mall sized, it kinda sucks to run to the opposite side to do my business. I guess I could hang out at the inn over in the Trade District…but…that’s way too busy for me. I’d really rather there be an hairdresser in each inn, and an herbalist at the dwarf side druid trainer!
Wouldn’t it be kinda awesome for each district of Stormwind to have a bank, auction house, and profession trainers, then those of us who avoid the trade channel and its like, could find little hiding spots of sanctuary. Of course I’m speaking as someone who actually spends 90 percent of my time on my big druid flying around making circles on the lake behind the dwarf bank avoiding all the hustle and bustle of town.
I’m also a Guild Leader though, so I still would love the Idea of guild housing. I’m not entirely sure how it would work out, but having common rooms that you can enter by guild rank would be awesome. Then I could have my little room of solitude! PvP guilds could even mark their house as attack-able and have huge pvp battles attacking each other’s homes! How cool would that be for world PvP? We could even make them with no trainers inside and no bank/auction house access so that people are forced to go to town for those things. Though a guild vault in the officer section for bank maintenance would be kinda cool.
It appears that I went from a dream city to guild housing in the course of a blog, though my dream city would have little districts of guild housing in it. Even if it’s just an instance portal that takes you to your guild’s “instance” of housing when you enter it. I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t ever happen though, a tree can dream though right?
