There’s something about Me!

Ambermist over at Tastes Like Battle Chicken challenged us this month to reveal a little about ourselves this month, and I’ve decided to participate.  I mean, it’s not like I’m some secret identity, if you armory Elunamakata, well…it’s me, so far I’m the only crazy person to name myself after a Lion King song.

Well let’s see…I am a Gamer, but I’m also a Mother.  I call my kids Forkie (there’s a story to that, but it’s a post in itself) and Miss Priss online, because, really, they’re not even 13 yet, so their names remain anonymous to random people on the interwebs.  My husband is not named Kurby in real life, nor Kurt, but we met in World of Warcraft, and his character is named Kurby.  A lot of people thought his name really was Kurt for a long time because…well, we’re dorks and I call him that in real life sometimes.  His mother was thoroughly confused the first time he called me Caresse in front of her..(my priest’s name and my 2nd main!)  Eluna is actually my 4th Main, and my 3rd healing main.

I have Diabetes…yes this:

And it really is some serious business.  I’m still learning how to manage it, but I’m willing to joke about it as well.  Because of this, I’ve been trying to lose weight to make it easier for the Diabetes to be manageable.  Trust me, it’s not an easy thing.

So that’s a little more about me! Oh, and my favorite color is blue and I like sea-turtles.  Am I doing it right?  ;-)

My Desk

Yes, I did clean up for you guys!

First I will apologize, I’m HORRIBLE at taking photos, and I only have my phone’s camera at the moment.  I have a huge desk…when we bought it I had just started my Accounting degree (which is still happening, it’s just on pause atm) and we were thinking long term needing a home office type desk.

As you can see, I tape notes EVERYWHERE, right above my browsing monitor, you can see … I have a gear list for my main so I don’t have to look things up during raid, a Schedule to the left for the kids, various photos and cute things the kids and friends have given me.  On top my dork is showing with my Collectors Editions and some stuffed animals.  The most important thing on the main desk is the Eskimo Joe’s Cup…it is always there!  I don’t know why I love these cups so much, but I order a random pack about twice a year to make up for ones that are worn out/misshapen by the dishwasher.  Eskimo Joe’s is located in Stillwater, OK near the college…I’ve never lived there.  

Also My Desk

The other half of my desk, is where I do actual work at when it needs to be on paper.  My tower is also under it along with more books and some of the kids art supplies.

More books, I have books stuffed everywhere!  I also have lots of different storage containers, some of them are German cookie boxes and some are just regular office stuff.  I’m only a little organized though, most of those containers just have like things thrown into them.  The bookshelves on this side, actually extend down below the desk area, and the other end of the flat area has more shelves under it.

The larger photo is clickable for a better view, the longer photo is not.  I’ve had fun with this post!  Perhaps its a little bit of overkill for a home office of a stay at home mom, turned college student, turned blogger, but it works for me!
